It's a rainy Monday and it makes me sleepy. I would love to be curled up with a book or wrapped in a quilt and watching an old black and white movie.
My car had an indicator light on the dash but I did not know what it meant, so I called the dealer and he said it meant that my tires were very low. I had that happen before and there is a place where a read out would show up and it told me my tires where low. Maybe that warning indication system has a back up. I went to the gas station to put air in my tires in the rain, and I am thankful I wore a jacket today.
I've done some of my Christmas shopping, but I still have more to do. I love going out and finding what I want for someone and then finding it at a great sale price! ! My neighbor Pat had her husband put all their decorations up yesterday, since they will be out of town for Thanksgiving. She said she bought almost all new ones, and does that every couple of years. It's a nice display, pleasant to look at this year. I don't know if Dad is going to put up any lights this year or not. I really would just like to have some red and green spot lights on the front of the house, or maybe a silouette of the nativity on the house.
Tomorrow I will go to David's and get my hair trimmed etc. This last time he did not cover my gray like all the other times. Maybe he used another type of coloring agent. Non-the-less I got to see if I have many gray hairs and really I don't have as many as I figured, but that will change as time goes on.
I am thinking about putting the turkey breast in a brine this year and see how that tastes. I would make a mild one, maybe with some brown sugar. It's supposed to make the turkey more moist. Sounds like a neat idea to me.
The cardinal still comes to the sliding doors around 10 a.m. I found that out two Saturdays ago, when I was home sitting on the sofa. I heard the pecking/tapping noise and turned to look and there he was. He is very flighty and every time I have tried to take his picture doing the pecking trick he flies away. We figure he sees his reflection and thinks he's making a new friend. Wonder if there is a way I can rig a camera up to take a picture of him.
